Day 1 of our epic journey draws to an
end in Towcester and what a brilliant day it was. The weather was perfect and
the bar in terms of pace has been set very high for Day 2. The cyclists exceeded
all expectations and averaged 30km/hr, even hitting a phenomenal 47km/hr on
occasion! With over 65 miles cycled, we arrived
at the end of our first stage way ahead of schedule. Well done to our cyclists
and support crew - we are very proud of you all. You were a credit to
yourselves today. The award for shouting ’Mon
the Joes! the most definitely goes to Michael Colleran!!
